About your tutor

EdAtlas VCE Economics 3/4 Tutor - Portrait

Hi there! My name is Chloe Chan!

I’m currently pursuing Bachelor of Science, major in Mathematics and Statistics, specialising in Applied Mathematics at the University of Melbourne, and I’m passionate about helping students excel in VCE Economics.

I graduated from Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School in 2023 with a raw 50 in Economics and a 99.70 ATAR. Since then, I’ve accumulated over 600 hours of tutoring experience, working with students on the 2024 Economics study design. More importantly, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many students to achieve their own academic goals, helping them build confidence and master this challenging subject.

My Journey with VCE Economics

When I first started VCE Economics, I faced significant challenges. The sheer depth and complexity of the content left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to focus. Without clear guidance on what was important and how to structure answers, I struggled to maximize marks, even as a diligent student.

Through perseverance and refining my approach, I discovered the key strategies that transformed my performance. From mastering how to break down complex ideas, to nailing key wording and understanding what examiners look for, I found a way to make this subject not just manageable but rewarding.

Now, I’ve built my tutoring program to reflect these learnings. My classes are designed to cut through the noise, focusing on the most critical aspects of the study design. Together, we’ll cover how to:

  • Simplify complex concepts into digestible ideas.
  • Perfect question structures and key wording.
  • Avoid common pitfalls that hinder students from achieving a 40+ study score

My goal is not just to teach you Economics, but to give you the tools, confidence, and clarity to succeed. I understand how challenging VCE can be, and I’m here to help you navigate it every step of the way.
