About your tutor

With years of experience and a passion for helping students succeed, Chris is here to guide you through every step of your learning journey.

Hi there! My name is Chloe Chan!

I’m currently pursuing Bachelor of Science, major in Mathematics and Statistics, specialising in Applied Mathematics at the University of Melbourne, and I’m passionate about helping students excel in VCE Economics.

I graduated from Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School in 2023 with a raw 50 in Economics and a 99.70 ATAR. Since then, I’ve accumulated over 600 hours of tutoring experience, working with students on the 2024 Economics study design. More importantly, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many students to achieve their own academic goals, helping them build confidence and master this challenging subject.

What students are saying...

Don’t believe working with us can be completely transformational?

Hear from some of our happy students

Chris is by far one of the best physics tutors. Chris’s influence brought me from an abysmal collection of results to achieve grades I once confidently deemed impossible. Through his explanations, understanding of my ability and tutoring skills, each class makes a noticeable difference, not only on paper but in the classroom, during study time and even externally. I would confidently recommend Chris to any student working to further engage with their skills or who is like me and wishing to get the best out of my ability and the course.

Tom Holt – Melbourne Grammar School

Chris began tutoring me physics at the start of 2023 and he has been nothing but amazing in helping me achieve the results that I want. He is able to make challenging topics easy to understand and reinforces that understanding by walking through questions. Chris is able to build your confidence in a difficult subject to ensure you do well in your VCE.

Mandy – Caroline Chisholm Catholic College

Chris is more than just a tutor; he’s a reliable friend who genuinely listens to your concerns and ideas. He offers unwavering support during assessments and on how to approach them, setting him apart from most other tutors out there. Chris was really helpful and provided me with advice and methodical revision strategies, and was incredibly diverse in his teaching.

Mazeed Azad – Salesian College

I originally found the prospect of doing such a difficult VCE subject (Physics) a little daunting, but thanks to Chris’ tutoring that fear has been entirely washed away. He’s really good at building up our understanding of tough concepts and consolidating that understanding through taking us step by step through questions. He also creates a really nice and relaxed class environment which makes tutoring with him super enjoyable.

Olivia Hargrave – Lauriston Girls School

My Journey with VCE Economics

When I first started VCE Economics, I faced significant challenges. The sheer depth and complexity of the content left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to focus. Without clear guidance on what was important and how to structure answers, I struggled to maximize marks, even as a diligent student.

Through perseverance and refining my approach, I discovered the key strategies that transformed my performance. From mastering how to break down complex ideas, to nailing key wording and understanding what examiners look for, I found a way to make this subject not just manageable but rewarding.

Now, I’ve built my tutoring program to reflect these learnings. My classes are designed to cut through the noise, focusing on the most critical aspects of the study design. Together, we’ll cover how to:

  • Simplify complex concepts into digestible ideas.
  • Perfect question structures and key wording.
  • Avoid common pitfalls that hinder students from achieving a 40+ study score

My goal is not just to teach you Economics, but to give you the tools, confidence, and clarity to succeed. I understand how challenging VCE can be, and I’m here to help you navigate it every step of the way.
