This Privacy Policy explains how The Atlas (the “App”) collects, uses, and protects your

What we collect

Account data: email and display name if you create an account or sign in.
Content you add: notes, photos, tags, and corrections you save in the App.
Device data: basic diagnostics, app version, and device type for crash reports.
Analytics (optional): aggregated usage events to improve features. No ads tracking.

How we use your data

Provide core features like sync, search, and reminders.
Securely back up your content and let you access it across devices.
Fix bugs and improve performance.
Communicate important changes to the App.

What we donʼt do

No selling of your personal data.
No third-party advertising SDKs.
No tracking across other companiesʼ apps or websites.

Storage and retention

Your content is stored either locally on your device or, if you enable sync, in our cloud
providerʼs data centers. We retain your data while your account remains active. You can
delete entries at any time in the App.

Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data from the App: Settings → Account →
Delete account. You can also request deletion via support@useatlas.app.

Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us run the App (for example, cloud
hosting and crash reporting). These providers are bound by contracts to protect your
information and use it only for our instructions.

Permissions

If you choose to attach photos, the App will request camera and photo library access on your
device. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings

Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to, or delete
your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your
child provided data, contact us to remove it.

Security

We use industry-standard protections to safeguard your information. No method of
transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may change our Service and policies, and we may need to make changes to this Privacy Policy so that they accurately reflect our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Service) before we make changes to this Privacy Policy and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. Then, if you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not want to agree to this or any updated Privacy Policy, you can delete your account.
